Marbella is a city in Andalusia, Spain, by the Mediterranean, situated in the province of Málaga, beneath La Concha. The city Marbella has approximately 135.000 inhabitants. Marbella and the nearby Puerto Banus are important beach resorts of the Costa del Sol.
Marbella is famed as an exclusive destination for wealthy tourists from Northern Europe, as well as the well-heeled from the UK, Ireland and Germany. The largest city in the region is Málaga (approx. 1.000.000 inhabitants) and located 60 km south along the shoreline.
